Losing Carson, and Elizabeth, and Carson again. The disastrous end of his relationship with Katie. Almost losing Jeannie. Not to mention all the other stress and trauma they went through on practically a daily basis, and yeah, he could see why Rodney might be a little down.

Recommended because...
This is what happened, after. Rodney tries to deal, John tries to understand and gets it all wrong, and yeah-- It's so very them.

At the end of "Tao of Rodney" there's a kind of Flowers for Algernon moment wherein Rodney realizes he can't make sense anymore out of the work he did while he was on his way to Ascension. This story takes that idea and runs with it. It's long, plotty, fantastic, believable, heartbreaking, awesome, and happymaking, all rolled into one.
