At the end of "Tao of Rodney" there's a kind of Flowers for Algernon moment wherein Rodney realizes he can't make sense anymore out of the work he did while he was on his way to Ascension. This story takes that idea and runs with it. It's long, plotty, fantastic, believable, heartbreaking, awesome, and happymaking, all rolled into one.
