LJ advisory board representative elections

Even if you're not too involved in this (like me) you've probably encountered the odd post about the LJ advisory board representative elections. It may or may not have driven you to go and vote.
If you're invested in fandom (which as members of this community you very probably are) you really should place your vote. Because fandom needs a representative on the LJ advisory board!
Currently, someone who openly opposes pro-fandom candidates appears to have the best chances of winning. See this open letter to all fandom comm moderators and all members of fandom for good reasons to go and vote, because I couldn't explain it better.
