Rodney stares at the words on his screen, tempted to close out the instant messenger window and return to his very gripping game of Spider solitaire. He thinks for a minute before typing, I liked you too.

A few seconds later, Katie adds, Did you realize that was a man's ring when you bought it?

It is not, is the best Rodney can come up with.

Five excruciating minutes later, Katie tells him, I think you should tell him, and signs off.

The third day he hung up on Rodney fifteen times, and then unplugged his phone. An hour later, General Landry came down to his office with a Post-It note in his hand. The rigid smile on his face made John squirm in his cheap desk chair.

There's nothing better in this world than John and Rodney sending each other ridiculous crap in the mail, playing video games until they drop, and finally having hot, hot sex.
