OMG, the angst of *posting* the thing to an LJ community! Unbelievable! And I'm preserving the wonderful support I got from people in that insanity! It's part of what I experienced: writing again, then trying to post the ficlet, then the difficulties and the wonderful help from all over the world! An incredible experience! I'm so glad you loved the ficlet! The miracle of writing again after so many years - I'm still stunned! But it was *so* clear to me that Carter was written in the ep as telling John this traumatic news *in public* so that Ronon could pass the info along to team - starting with Rodney, of course!
